National commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has announced the start of an exciting new era for its Nottingham team which is relocating to impressive new offices.

Geo Hallam and Sons, acting jointly with JLL on behalf of F&C Reit Asset Management, has let the refurbished open plan 5,000 sq ft offices in City Gate East to LSH on a 10 year lease.

City Gate East is a landmark building within the heart of Nottingham’s business quarter, situated at one of the major gateways into the city centre at the junction of Maid Marian Way and Upper Parliament Street.

After 25 years the company decided it was time to move from its base at Houndsgate.  James Hall, of Geo Hallam and Sons, said:  “This is another good letting at City Gate and reflects the recent speculative refurbishment carried out by clients of F&C Reit to differentiate the product from competing space in the city centre. The refurbishment together with the large open-plan floor plates available and competitive deals has recently attracted a number of new occupiers to this landmark office building.”

Simon McIntosh, of F&C Reit, commented: “We are pleased Lambert Smith Hampton have chosen to relocate to City Gate .This is good news for the building where they join other national corporate and regional companies and reinforces the benefits of City Gate to occupiers”

Philip Quiggin, director of office agency at LSH in Nottingham, said: “ Our new offices at City Gate East provide us with first class facilities in a fantastic location right in the very heart of the business community. The move will get everyone into more efficient space on one open plan floor”
