We undertake acquisition and disposal work, both on a leasehold and a freehold basis for occupiers and landlords.

Rent Reviews and Lease Renewals

We act for landlords and tenants in advising on and negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews. We advise from the initial strategy through to conclusion, including third party proceedings if necessary.

Lease Regearing

We look to add value to our clients by advising on opportunities for regearing leases.

Rating Work

We undertake rating work on behalf of clients on a national basis.

Investment

Property investment is a specialist area and Geo Hallam & Sons are active in both the acquisition and disposal of investments nationally for clients.

Valuation

We undertake commercial property valuations in accordance with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Guidance and Practice Notes.  

Building Consultancy

Through our Quantity Surveyor we can provide pre acquisition survey advice, terminal and interim schedules of dilapidations, advice on the procurement and project management of remedial repairs, fit out advice and building cost management.

    Roger Davis BSc MRICS Partner

    Roger Davis qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1971, has been a partner at Geo Hallam and Sons since 1976 and became sole proprietor in 1981.

    Roger had a varied training period having worked in private practice undertaking valuation work, working for the Valuation Office Agency, a local commercial developer and then moved back to private practice.

    Roger has a broad depth of experience which allows him to advise a range of corporate and private clients, developers and investment companies on all issues relating to commercial property, both in the Midlands and throughout the UK.

    James Hall BSc MRICS Partner

    James Hall qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1992 .He originally trained at Geo Hallam and Sons, moved to DTZ in 2000 and rejoined as an Equity Partner in November 2010. At DTZ he was an Associate Director dealing with office and industrial acquisitions and disposals within the East Midlands for corporate and private clients.

    James Hall primarily deals with commercial agency within Nottingham and the East Midlands.

    Julian Breed MRICS dip QS

    Julian Breed qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 1978. Julian Breed joined Geo Hallam and Sons in 2009 from the Nottingham office of Gleeds. Prior to this he was Facilities Manager at Autowindscreens dealing with up to 200 sites throughout the UK.

    Julian Breed specialises in dilapidation claims, repairs and refurbishment, schedules of condition and project management. He also advises on regulatory and health and safety issues on managed properties.

    Pippa Hall BSc MRICS

    Pippa Hall qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1992. Pippa Hall joined Geo Hallam and Sons in February 2011 to head the Commercial Management Department.

    Prior to this she was employed as a Development Surveyor at Clegg Developments in Nottingham, and before this at Chesterton dealing with management and agency.
